To seek greater knowledge may be beneficial, but to gain wisdom is far superior.
There is a huge difference between pursuing intellectual advancement
and pursuing wisdom. Greater scholastic knowledge is of little
value compared to the value of wisdom that one can attain by studying
the Word of God in His textbook. To apply God's standards to life's
choices is wisdom. To apply worldly standards to life's choices is
folly. Therefore, make it your highest priority to pursue God's Wisdom.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction. -Proverbs 1:1-7

but one who heeds counsel is wise. -Proverbs 12:15
Contention comes from pride, but from the well advised
