~ is simply returning back to God a portion of what He has given to us.
Let us never fail to understand this. We can never lose when we give tithes and offerings to the Lord. For He continually blesses those who give generously. Yet we must never give in a hope of what we might get back in return. Instead, giving must always be a joyful act of worship; never thought of as a financial burden or ploy. We give back to God simply because of our love for Him. For He gives bountiful blessings to us out of His infinite and immeasurable love for us. Therefore, all who give faithfully can rejoice, realizing that as we give to help meet the needs of others, God will always meet our needs as well.
